What about McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, etc? 8)
Last time I was interested in the subject, McDonald's had the best
fries of any of the crapfood chains. Oh...and awful burgers, a
characteristic it shares with Wendys and Burger King.

Krystal's...the best burgers. Really. And fries second only to
Mcdonald's.

We're off to Florida for a mini-vacation soon, and my guess is that by
the time we deplane, get our luggage and pick up the rental car, it'll
be lunch time. We're going to...Krystal's!
Krystal's can't hold a candle to White Castle's "sliders".

We just came back from a trip to Virginia last week. Son in Law got in
to the Krystals at the airport in Atlanta. Thinks they are great. Not
as good as Sliders, and when he wondered if there was a Krystals at
Lynchburg, daughter said she would prefer a Waffle House. He is from
Pittsburgh, PA area and had never experienced Bojangels or Waffle House.
New experiences are good.

Lynchburg? Isn't that the former locale of the Rev. Falwell? :)

I had a Krystal's lunch at the Atlanta airport a couple months ago. I
enjoyed it.

Do not know. Was $40 cheaper than flying out of ROA, and since there were 5
tickets bought, was worth an hour drive from Roanoke.

There are a couple of Waffle Houses in the Roanoke area. My wife usually
stops at one when she drives down to North Carolina to visit relatives.

Probably a non union WH also. We flew in to Charlotte to visit good friend
of my daughter who had a baby 2 months ago, and then drove up to Roanoke.
Breakfast at Bojangles and lunch at Waffle House somewhere along the route.
Life is good.

The list of incredible horrors Bush and Company inflicted on this
country and the world is long and mind-boggling. "**** it up" is just a
mild descriptor of the Bush Administrations malfeasance, misfeasance,
and nonfeasance. Obama is moving the country in the correct direction.
Much of what he is proposing and changing will help this country, some
of his ideas will fail. Consider the problems Bush left for him. I
suspect his on-base average will be well over .500, though. Bush was a
..100 hitter.

The Republicans are in terrible shape, and most of them are lashing out
any way they can, with the apparatchiks pushing the party farther to the
right. Rush Limbaugh *is* their spokesperson and their future. Couldn't
happen to a lousier mound of ****.

Drove by it. Pretty area. Was rainy when we left, but except for the
winters and summers, would be a nice area to live.

And it's all his fault too, right?

Remember the economy was on a steep descent when he took office?

Remember anything about a Bush bailout?

And Bush screwed the pooch also. The banks should have been allowed to
fail! There would have been 14% unemployment if they failed, but there is
going to be 14% unemployment anyway. And we will have ****ed away $2
trillion ++ . The reason HK and you think all need a living wage, is
because you are socialists living off either the union teat or government
contracts. Because Government has overspend in the last 40 years, a lot
less overspending than the present administration has done in 100 days, a
living wage is inflated beyond comprehension. 30 years ago, $23k was a
good mid level engineers salary. Now it is poverty. The BART (bay area
transit district) is cutting run times and raising fares, because they
have paid generous union contracts. Way more than private industry, way
more than other transit districts. No where are they talking about
renegotiation contracts to a sensible level. Janitors make $28 an hour
plus vacations and full medical and benefits. The work rules are there
are outside janitors and inside janitors. No efficiency. Same government
types who say they can run healthcare cheaper. Sort of reminds me of
Argentina (or a country in that area) where teachers got a billion dollar
a month raise, but are still behind the spending curve. We may be looking
at that type of inflation also. At least we can pay back the Chinese with
pocket change.

Making $50 an hour, times 2,000 hours a year (50 weeks @ 40 hours a week) =
$100,000. Now, take off 22% for taxes. Now take off $30,000 for mortgage.
(Got the big house with the ARM, dontcha know), now take off the TWO car
payments on the TWO NEW cars, now take off gas money, groceries, allowances,
etc, etc, etc. You reach zero before you know it.

Unless you're the government, and you just print more money.

Making a high wage is only relative to what it costs for a loaf of bread or
a gallon of gas.

Keep that wheelbarrow in working order. You'll soon need it to take enough
money to the store for some beer, milk, bread, and tampons.

It's coming, folks.

Steve
