I haven't found a place for a good "crusty" bread. In my area it's all chain grocery stores and no dedicated bakeries. |

Florida has much to offer, but the quality of the water isn't one of them. Eisboch When you say "quality," are you referring to perceived taste or contaminates or both? We had municipal water in NE Florida and I don't recall it tasting funky. |

That went away but there still is dissolved limestone that leaves water spots. Some areas have water that leaves rust colored stains. The rain water down here is so pure and clean though. We have to add acid to the pool water to keep the PH balanced. |

We had municipal water in NE Florida and I don't recall it tasting funky. It probably varies from local to local. The area we were in had private, shallow wells and the water had a lot of sulfur and iron. Everyone's well was equipped with an elaborate water conditioning system to remove the iron and the sulfur stink. Even though we had a new, undated system installed when we bought the house, we still used bottled water for drinking and cooking. Couldn't get used to it. Eisboch |
