Fascinating article on catching earthworms for fishing. Make a sound like a mole, and the worms head for the surface.... never heard of it, but beats digging though. |

Worm grunting is a big deal here and you have to stake a claim in the Nat Forest. We even have a worm grunting festival in Sopchoppy, FL. I just missed the worm grunting festival cuz my daughter was in town. |

I can only recall one time a crappie was caught with a worm. Wasn't me who caught it. Part of it might have been how we fished too. Since crappies liked minnows that's what we used when we were after them, usually in deeper water. This was in the Chain-O-Lakes. --Vic |
