OK, now I find from my wife that we will only have 2 nights in the
Keys, I might be able to stretch it into 3. *Maybe a couple days in
Lauderdale, maybe 3. *Is it worth trailering the Tolman 20 nearly 600
miles one way? *Man, I gotta have something to do down there otherwise
Lauderdale bores me silly. *My wife knows I'll refuse to go if we dont
do anything interesting so she is sorta using the days in the Keys as
bait so I'll go see the in-laws.
For those kind enough to be concerned, it turns out my 12 yr old
daughter was diagnosed with diabetes officially today. *Very, very
weird with no external symptoms, just high blood sugar. *Now we have o
do the whole finger prick 3x a day and insulin injections once a day
routine. *Better than some I know but dang, so sudden and out of the
blue.

I towed my Sandpiper 565 over 2500 miles round trip to a weekend rendezvous
in August 2007.
It was a bit tiresome, but worth it.

Wow, that's simply amazing.

Thank you!
I realize it doesn't compare to 'poling' your flats boat all over Lake
Lanier...trying to avoid all the sand/mud bars...not to mention the thousand
redneck bubbas racing around in their gator boats.

It's a pretty *little* lake. We flew over it for some reason on the trip
to Atlanta, and the pilot pointed it out. Unclear to me why anyone on
that lake would want a boat bigger than yours or mine.

See there you go! Harry has flown over it at 20,000 feet or so, so
he's an expert on all things Lanier! Why anyone would want a bigger
boat than yours? 900 miles of shoreline not counting islands.
Beautiful mountain scenery. Outside of monuments. etc. in the DC area,
it's just blah and flat....Maybe that's why you only put a few hours a
year on your boat.

You just don't know how bigoted and dumb you sound. Let's see, I don't
have a "flats boat" and have never had one. Secondly, you may not know
anything about the area, as witnessed by your bigoted remarks, but
there are many large lakes in the area. Thirdly, with about 900 miles
of shoreline, one would be hard pressed "poling...all over Lake
Lanier". Thirdly, while I know that you are making bigoted, stupid,
and childish remarks about an area you know nothing about (ala Harry)
the area is progressive, and quite well off. The median income I'm
certain is much higher than Halifax. Fourthly, there are no gators in
the Atlanta area unless someone goes to the coastal swamps and puts
one in a lake or river, and they won't last. So, see how utterly
stupid you sound?

My bet is that he has no idea. He probably thinks he's a smart guy.
