If you want a nice, not expensive, wine to share with Mrs. E...try: http://www.rexgoliath.com/rexgoliath...=1007&cat_id=1 My wife discovered this at dinner during one of her business trips, and bought a bottle for us upon her return. I'm about as far removed from a wine expert as one can be, but I have to agree...the Rex Goliath merlot is mighty fine wine. Nice label on the bottle, too. I'll look for it. Mrs.E. rarely drinks but when she does, she likes good wine. Must be the Italian in her. Me? I am just not that sophisticated to appreciate fine wines. I am a beer guy, always was, always will be. Just can't do it like I used to unfortunately. Eisboch I only drink beer on really hot summer days, and then not much of it. I do prefer Mexican beers, though. Dunno why. I drink less wine than I do beer. But I liked the Rex Goliath merlot. It's only about $7 a bottle at a wine store. My father in law loves a beer now and then, and he collects beer bottles from the countries where he's enjoyed a national or local brew. Last time I was at his house, he had about 100 empty beer bottles from different countries. My favorite alcoholic bev is a well-made margarita. It's funny. I don't really enjoy a beer on hot summer days anymore. I'll drink some to be social of course, but all they do is give me a headache. When I was young, a few beers made me want to conquer the world. Now all they do is make me want to take a nap. I have to be in the mood for a few brews, and it usually includes being with some good people and having a good time in spirited conversation, etc. I had some bad experiences drinking margaritas back to my Navy days. Lurkers still exist, so that's enough about that. Eisboch |

Eisboch Well, a good beer palate is just as refined as a good wine palate. Out in CA, Trader Joe's has this wine called Two Buck Chuck, and in blind tastings, it done better than almost all high priced stuff. Second place I believe. Beer has been brewed for a few thousand years, the history is amazing, and I can by yeast strains that are several hundred years old to brew with |

Just kidding, Tim's a stand up guy, like you. I'll tell you what's funny, though, I've been in the south for somewhere near 25 years, but when I go to western NY, after a couple of days, the yankee comes back~! |

There's actually a prop thread going on. Here's where I go when I want to see some fishing action on the internets. http://www.carolinaskiffowner.com/fo...aysprune=&f=42 This is the "Florida fishing" section, my favorite. Lots of pics too. Carolina Skiff owners do more fishing than any other 10 boat brands combined. But that's just a guess. --Vic There are a lot of them around. The flat bottom version must be great for real skinny water. |

There is no skinny water where I boat, but it is fast for the power and stable at anchor. There are no waves in Iowa to speak of, but, unfortunately, I want to cruise the Great Lakes. The boat cost me two grand. Sat in my brother in laws drive for years. Hard to add twenty degrees of deadrise after the fact. Casady |
