I don't print much. I don't have much reason to, but dang!
Somebody said in the case of their older Lexmark printer the cartridge
was higher than getting a new printer with cartridges preloaded.
amazing.
Keep your eye on the ads and when you see a $69 printer, buy 10. When
the first one runs out of ink throw the whole thing away and open up
the
box with the second printer.
Many of the printers come with the smaller ink cartridges. The $37
version is probably the high yield cartridge.

You can always get them filled at Walgreens.

Don't have a Walgreens, but do have a CVS.

hmmmm

Tim: here's a source of decent cartridges at good prices:

I use their Canon equivalent carts on my Canon photo printer. No clogs or
failures so far after about two years of using them.

I was using 'Staples' cartridges for my older Canon i470D inkjet printer but
stopped because they didn't seem to last very long.
Found out later I could have returned tham if I wasn't satisfied.

I usually run out of ink when I need to print something now. I can't
wait for the FedEx guy to deliver the cartridge tomorrow afternoon.

I've got 2 packs of cartridges for my HP 832c printer. I don't want to
have to go out and find an all night WalMart or Target that doesn't have
my cartridges and get blamed for my kids not being able to turn in their
school projects on time.

Don, I think you may be onto something here.

i asked my wife about the cheap carts, and she said because fo the
volume they used at work, they went the route of buying the cheaper
refills etc, and they didn't get the performance out of them like the
new OE mfj.

Some were blotchy and didn't print well, but most did. But the
disapointment was yoyu didn't get near the copies out of them.

i suppose it would be ok if a person wanted to change out the carts
frequently, but like she told me.

"you get $9.00 worth of printing, from a $9.00 cartridge."

She's probably right, but also, for no more than I really use my
printer I'm still thinking on getting a couple and see how they do.

If you go to a place like Cartridge World, or Walgreen's they refill
original capacity cartridges. I've had very good luck with Cartridge
world, they test them to make sure they are still up to OEM specs.

But then again loog, that's my delima. We don't have a Walgreens,
Costco, or Cartridge World any where near my locale.

We DO have ChinaMart, CVS and that's about it.

I may ask at CVS if they refill or not, though.

Tim, did you look at my Amazon.com site?

Also, here's an informative article on 'inks'.

I'm still thinking I'll go the cheap ink for my old HP since we use it
only for B&W anyway.
