I really *do* like their boats, but I'm betting there are very few orders in the 32' and up categories..... http://www.mercurymarine.com/look_de...sixCyl200300=4 52 gallons an hour at 47 mph... stupid is as stupid does. |

Actually not that bad. For a big boat going fast, and near a mile per gallon. Lots of smaller boats only get 1.5-2 mpg at a lot less speed and comfort. |

A boat like that with Quads is flashy, no doubt about it. Triples are a bit extreme too I'll admit. But it sure is fun. :) Besides, I hope that the Grady will work out for me - I've been getting the itch to get back into the small party biz - I kind of miss it and some of my older clients want me to - hey, it will pay for the boat over five years or so. Interestingly enough, I've heard that the charter bookings for next summer are on pace with two years ago which is interesting. I dunno - we'll see. -- "Never fight an inanimate object." P.J. Heresy is buying a Chinese engine in a Japanese outboard. At least I buy American engines built by a Canadian outboard company. |
