Because of Fabian, we have had a few extra visitors this weekend.
A large cruise ship destined for Bermuda came to Halifax instead. Eight sloops participating in around the world 'Clipper' race are scheduled to spend some time at my home Squadron to avoid the hugh seas expected as the hurricane passes Newfoundland. These boats left New York for Jersey and then Liverpool England. Now Halifax to Jersey will be the final leg after a whole year at sea. |
