Every star who is anybody is performing, and the sound quality is terrific. Have the latrines overflowed yet? I don't think obama is actually speaking there today He was making an address from the Lincoln Memorial this afternoon. Haven't you been watching the news? no There was a nice RV show in the area. I had a choice of going to the mall for the start of the cannonization process or going to the RV show. I guess I let my country down, but I went to a quite crowded RV show. Had a good time too. Perfect. I'm sure if there were a mobile home show it'd have been well-attended. Monster truck rally too. I'm damned happy that our president-elect will be conscious enough to do a good a job representing your half of the political spectrum while also minding ours. Clearly not something that ever concerned you with Bush. I'm happy too. I'm trying to learn some prayers to say to Obama. Any ideas? I'm just waiting for the day he pays off my mortgage. Won't that be great? Just think, a goose (no cheap-assed chicken) in every pot! You need to be goosed, that's for sure. Maybe next life. Herring will be whining about government spend while he and his wife draw and spend their taxpayer funded pensions. Typical hypocritical right-wing bull****. Your union pension ultimately comes out of the taxpayers pockets. And the mismanaged union funds cost us more.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I just don't understand the hypocrisy of Don, complaining about John retirement contract. He worked under a contract for years, wonder if he wants to reverse that? [edited for spelling] What are you blathering about. I don't get a cent from the Canadian gov't...at least not until August. My pension fund was built up by contributions from me and the CORPORATION I worked for...and for the last 15 years or so...mostly employee contributions and investment earnings. (when the pension was doing well, the Corp gave itself a premium holiday) Typical for most civil servants. My wife is going through the same thing. -- John H *A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing. * |
