Hi Don! Did you also get a lot of snow in that storm that blew through the
NE USA? Looks pretty clear up there now, but cold! About -12F, now that's

Don's comment was about the racist cartoon you posted. Everyone is very
impressed.

Waht racist cartoon? Water mellon is a better cash crop than daisy's
and ferns.

The guy that farms our ground is switching from planting soy beans
next year to black-eyed peas. *They cook better than soy beans.

You have to be kidding...you're not aware of the racial overtones in
that cartoon?

harry, I dont' let it bother me. *Racial overtones? *If that's the

there with "racial overtones" then what can be imagined.- Hide quoted text -

Usually what happens in these instances is that if someone is even a
tad bit racist, they'll see it as a racist picture. If someone is not,
then they tend to not see it as racist.

You're perpetrating a racist joke about blacks and watermelons?

Isn't that the EXACT same thing you did perpetrating stereotypes of Jews?

What stereotype of Jews? That "observant Jews" keep Kosher and pray on
the Sabbath? Or are you attempting, as usual, to play a game here?

No, the one concerning all Jews have high IQ's, and if someone is not
intelligent enough for you, they could not be a Jew. *I know I was not
intelligent enough to get an excellent liberal arts education at the
Univ. of Kansas, but I did the best I could.

Let alone Yale!

If you are to believe that one ethnic or religious group has a higher IQ
than others, than logically it follows that some ethnic or religious
groups have a lower IQ than others. *Which groups do you want to
discriminate against today? *At one time, it was considered normal to
say Polish Jews had low IQ's, maybe you want to qualify the Jews you
believe are intelligent and those who are inferior. *You probably are a
student and proponent of William Shockley's theory on race and IQ.

I do wonder about that excellent liberal arts education of yours.- Hide quoted text -

It's not as chilly as the heart of the person reposting the original
link...especially during Christmas week.
The first person to "repost" the link was Boater, and of course you
reposted it as well. If you truly found it offensive, why didn't
either of you cut it from your messages?

It's easy. I did it.

They didn't really find it offensive. They laughed their asses off and
then
felt like they should say something nasty to keep up pretenses.

After all, it was funny as hell!

I found it offensive. It is the sort of "humor" one expects from
insensitive white Republican racists. Surely you are not one of those.

It's called stereotyping, and it's used in comedy all the time. You
just did it, in an attacking, bigoted sort of way. Funny how it
doesn't bother you unless you want it to.

I didn't find it funny.
What I would find funny is *you* dressing up in 'black face' and imitating
Al Jolson while walking the streets of Washington DC.

I'll tell you what's funny. The way demographics are going in this
country, in a few years, the white Republican base racists are going to
be a small minority of the citizenry, and at that point, it will be ok
to enslave them, keep them out of decent jobs and, of course, lynch them
if they look the wrong way at a woman of color. :)

Uh-oh. The end of days!

In my single days, I think I dated at least one woman of every color.
Diversity in dating...that's the ticket! :)

I think he said not only is he one of those, but his bi-racial nephews
who are one of those too.

Have you ever heard a black comedian before? This kind of humor has
been and will continue to be included in many of their sets.

Why is a joke funny if one person says it and not funny if another
person says it? Comedy is drawn from truth.
