We got a little over a foot of the blasted stuff which isn't too bad, but it continued to snow lightly all day today, adding another couple of inches. Tomorrow's forecast calls for another storm with more snow and freezing rain. Plowed as much as I could with the Gator, but it's a bit too much for it, so I fired up the JD tractor with the front end loader. All that does is makes a mess. You can't "plow" with it, you have to scoop up buckets of snow and deposit it somewhere. I think it's time to get a plow put on the truck. At least I could stay warm and dry while pushing this crap around. Just called the house sitter - about 14 inches of snow in Woodstock. Glad I'm not there. Um..why don't you get a blade for that John Deere bucket - you've already got the hydraulics for it - you just need to fit a blade on the bucket. I even think, for some reason, that JD makes a blade for that bucket loader. Be a hell of a lot cheaper than a plow rig for the F-250. Sorry - just driving by and saw the post. |
