I keep away from the snake-dancers.
Nope, don't think any less of the Catholic church because of the
villagers where she grew up. Got married in one.
But there's parishioners, and then there's parishioners, which is what
I was addressing.
The Baptist adults might have been gossiping after church too,
but I got out right quick when the sermons were over.

There are many who believe we'd be better off with less "organized"
religion.

What is the Jewish belief in that regard, Harry?

I suggest you check with your shegetz buddy Reggie. He spend a lot more
time googling Judaism than I ever have.

Well, you could have put the money you spent or are spending on the
Toyotas into an educational savings account for your grandchildren.
There's probably more tied up in those cars than I have tied up in my
chair.
Yes, I could have bought used cars and saved some money. You are correct.

My comment about your chair was made in the hopes you would see that
bragging about an $850 desk chair was not the way to stop the insults and
name-calling that is so often directed at you. When you say you have an
$850 desk chair, it sounds like bragging. I'm sure it's not, but that's
what it sounds like.

John...here's a hint: whatever advice you have for me...doesn't interest me.

Yes it does, Harry. You want to have friends, just like everyone else.
Knowing how to stop, or slow down, the continuous assaults on you and the
way you think can be only beneficial to your well being.

And, your well being is what it's all about.
--

Salmonbait

You're doing it again, John. It doesn't matter. There aren't a half
dozen guys here I'd want to meet up with for "friendship" related
purposes. None of the jackals are on that list. In fact, the worst
offenders are in the old Bozo Bin and it is easy enough to put Reggie
and the other jackals back in there.

What is it I'm 'doing again, John'? What doesn't matter? Your well being?
Yes it does. When you made the complaint to Tim, it was obvious that you
were hurting and flailing about, trying to hurt anyone.

I don't know any jackals. I think there are some in the National Zoo.
Surely you aren't referring to people with names like that. That would be
adolescent behavior, the kind that is getting you in trouble.

One of what faith? Jewish? Reggie claims to be Jewish, though I have
doubts. I've never claimed to be Jewish, Christian, Muslim, or Buddhist.

Paying $850 for a chair might or might not be bragging.
But I've paid that much for a few of my cars that lasted me for years.
Aw shucks.....didn't mean to brag.

$850 is about the lowest price Aero office chair. Most decent office
chairs cost at least that much.

Well see, there you go. Our definitions of 'decent' vary tremendously. You
are obviously much more a connoisseur of fine furniture than I. Shoot, I've
had a desk chair like this for years and been happy with it!
