I know that there are a few people here who, while they know nothing about Lake Lanier, or the conditions of the lake, will tell you that it's a dried up mudhole. They are idiots, misinformed or liars. Actually, the lake is hosting the largest fishing tournament in the nation in 2010, the Forrest Wood Cup. Oh, and it's came up a foot recently! Here's a link about the Cup coming: http://www.davidrichert.com/brownie_hawkeye.htm Shane Watson's site: http://www.lakelanierstripers.com/ Here's a fishing report: http://www.lakelanier.org/ou_lake_la...ing_report.php I'm not sure what a foot elevation in the water table would be, but it sound to me like its raised a few hundred million gallons of water. That's doing pretty good. I hope the Army Corps isn't still draining it off like they did this summer? |

A foot is good for a month of water to ATL. That's doing pretty good. I hope the Army Corps isn't still draining it off like they did this summer?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - The Corps isn't draining it now. Downstream elements are doing fine without it. |
