Nappatree Point, RI ? Exactomundo. You should see what they've done with the dune restoration project at the upper end of the beach - it's amazing. When they started six years ago, there was nothing - literally. Now there are dunes extending dwon from the Watch Hill Beach club down to Napatree point 150 yards or so and one of them is 40 feet high - about thrity feet high on average. I heard that they have another 5/600 yards to go and they expect it to take another 10 years or so. The best part is it's not costing much money and it's still open to walk the beach - they've done some nice paths and you can actually walk the top of the dunes by path. Hell of a job. |
