When people were renewing their drivers licenses etc, they would make their checks out to Paul Powell instead of :Secretary of State" and he'd get them and cash them. hey, they were made out to him, eh? |

Am I missing something, Axelrod thrown under the bus? You are overlooking something, the Obama team didn't play ball. More than that, we don't know that they didn't report the corrupt SOB. http://hotair.com/archives/2008/12/0...od-yes-he-did/ Here's the BEST part - the Youtube interview has been pulled - can't find it anymore. http://hotair.com/archives/2008/12/1...itics-in-2005/ Ah yes - the smell of hope and change - plus politics as usual. Heh, heh, heh... :) |

Name a Presidential administration that hasn't had some controversy? Before he's even in office? Oh wait - he is in office - The Office of The President-Elect. Is that an official government office? I don't see it listed in the Constitution. :) Hope and change - politics as usual. |

I looked it up to refresh my memory. Shoebox with 800 grand. It was actually in a bunch of different containers, but shoebox is what the press went with. I remember thinking it should have been me cleaning that closet. Set for life. Nah, I would have turned it in to the great folks of Illinois. Heh heh. --Vic |

LOL, I think those of you on the right, are going to be just as disappointed as those of us on the left, were at the last Fitzmas party. The above link, seems to confirm, Obama didn't play ball. And, so far, I haven't seen any evidence that *Obama* had any contact with the governor, making his statement truthful. |

Do ya think Blagojevich went to college? Idiots. Check out that hair piece he wears. Damn thing must have cost a freakin' fortune. Wonder if he'll wear it in prison. It does make him look sorta cute. If not, maybe you could use it for fly tieing. -- John |

I think there's a bunch of 'vestigatin' going on: "Both Obama and Blagojevich got extensive money and support from Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who is awaiting sentencing after being convicted in June on charges of using clout with Blagojevich's administration to help launch a $7 million kickback scheme." http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081210/...ernor_analysis Usually where's there's smoke, you will eventually find fire. Eisboch The big question is whether the media will report it. Last night we watched the story on CBS (I think) After about ten minutes on the subject, my wife asked if the guy was a Democrat. The word had not been used. Imagine how often the word 'Republican' would have been used if it could have been. -- John |
