The latest in a long line of corrupt Illinois governors. Maybe it is the
water. This one seems to have set the standard, though. Sheesh.

The question is what did The Obama know and when did he know it.

Poor old The Obama hasn't even been sworn in and he is stained with
corruption surrounding the appointment of a replacement to the US Senate
seat he resigned. He may regret resigning his Senate seat before he was
sworn in a President.

How does this stain Obama? Blagojevich has had a wire tap on him for
months. According to the prosecutor, Fitzgerald, (remember him?), Obama
has nothing to do with this.

You can't read can you. The Obama wasn't named in the indictment. That
doesn't mean he wasn't a figure in the investigation. You don't think
Blagojevich hasn't been planning this since Hillary bowed out?

There has already been a different story by Obama, and his future
Chief of staff. At the same time, the Prosecutor did note one area
where Obama clearly made statements that would probably suggest he was
not (at least over the phone) involved. Still, he was this guys main
campaign finance mgr, there are a lot of connections and of course
much more to come. The feds had to act fast to keep this dirty guy
from picking a Senator, but admit there are others involved and there
will be many more charges and indictments to come. Still several un-
named co-conspirators to be named later. Remember however, with a full
democratic congress, there will be no effective investigations from
them, only promotions to posititions of power over the police agencies
involved, al a William Jefferson or Barney Frank and Chris Dodd....
