Where I draw the line is personal profit and endangering/screwing the public. There was Sec of State in Illinois who died - maybe 30 years ago. A guy cleaning the dead pol's hotel room found a suitcase stuffed with almost a million in cash. *It became a big joke around here. --Vic That was Paul Powell. When people were renewing their drivers licenses etc, they would make their checks out to Paul Powell instead of :Secretary of State" and he'd get them and cash them. hey, they were made out to him, eh? |
