What about that 'package' you sent up to me?
Did you lash it to a donkey and point it towards the border?

Ain't mailed it yet.

Are you sending me a "holiday spirit" package, too?

Because I can. I don't think stalking animals in the woods, and then
shooting them from 200 yards away with a high-powered rifle and scope is
"sport." I'm also disgusted these days by those who fish for sharks and
other mostly inedible pelagics for the "sport" of it.

There's absolutely nothing "manly" about shooting deer or doves or most
other harmless creatures.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with *thinning* the herd. It's good
conservation. I don't condone the killing if the meat is wasted.

What isn't *harmless* about the creatures of lakes/sea that are fished from
the end of a line where the creature cannot see his enemy?

Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

I liked the song, but must they include a religious images to go alone
with the religious worlds. Geeezzzzeeee.

This version is more politically correct and doesn't shove one's
religion down one's throat. There are no religious images and while the
words are the same, it will only offend those who understand German.

Religious songs are much more enjoyable when you can't understand what
they are saying, so if you know of any links to songs sung in Coptic,
Latin or other language not commonly used it would not be appreciated.

My point about hunting and it has been the same for years is that it is
not sport, not in the way I would define sport. It's just semi-organized
slaughter of harmless animals.

The few times I have watched hunting shows on TV I've been astonished by
the "mystique" of the hosts, who think it is something miraculous to
stalk the woods, climb up into a tree, call in a male deer with scent or
sound, and then...shoot it. That's sport? Even worse are the brave white
hunters who stalk sheep. Sheep? Jesus.

Now, hunting with a longbow, that is something that requires lots of
skill and some balls, because you usually have to get close enough to an
animal to risk getting injured.

I've never claimed fishing was "manly," although fishing successfully
where you cannot see your potential catch does seem to require more
skill than looking through a scope and pulling a trigger. Fly fishing
requires a good deal of skill.

I don't fish very seriously these days. Sometimes I don't even bait my
hook.

This sounds very similar to the lectures you gave us about buying a
Japanese vehicle and outboard(from those who brought you Pearl Harbor)
and banning handguns, (a shotgun is a much better weapon for self
defense, and the only people who own handguns are men who are missing
half their teeth and think the definition of a virgin is a sister who
can not outrun her brother).

All of that changed as soon as you decided you wanted to buy a Japanese
truck, outboard and handgun. When one's core values change with the
wind, it really diminishes your ability to effectively lecture anyone on
any subject. Next year, you will be talking about the beauty and grace
of watching the deer walk through the forest on a foggy morning,
sighting the deer in your sights, and the feel of cold steel against
your cheek, and then slowly pulling the trigger, just so you can enjoy
the sight of blowing Bambi's brains all over the forest.

Yes, the images were a major distraction. But, I know Harry loves them so
they were included. And, they're easily done away with.

In this case, I happen to like the version you picked very much. I doubt if
there are many people who listen to the German version without know what
they are saying.

However, I know what you mean about the video, which is why I use something
like this for motivation before going out on the golf course, which I'll be
doing shortly!

Krause! Did you get religion or something? Wasn't too long ago that your
favorite sport was catching all manner of fishes and then releasing them
so they can be caught again. Didn't matter to you how much pain and
trauma you brought on to satisfy your need to be a MANLY fish torturer.
Like I said before, you are incredibly inconsistent in pretty much
everything you talk about.
Have a Merry Christmas and a joyous new year.

Bambi is vermin. They got one car of mine. Go for a country drive
around these parts, and you will see more deer than cats, rabbits,
coons, possoms, and skunks, combined. Lots of cars get roadkilled.

Well, when you intrude upon and destroy animal habitat, they tend to wander.
