Not to worry. President-elect Obama will simply declare that the
Monroe Doctrine is heretofore null and void.

Problem solved.

Eisboch

Bush thinks it is. He lets the PRC play in Central and South America.

Doesn't much matter now what Bush thinks, does it?

Precedent. The PRC is all over South America. No incoming U.S. president
would be able to kick them out. Besides, we're not going to play
brinkmanship with our largest creditor. Your dumb boy Bush emasculated
this country.

It's Thanksgiving, John Herring. Why not give your hatred for other

Oh, you're establishing a new trend?

The personal insults from you, slammer, and Donnie were still on my machine
from last night.

I'll make you a deal, Harry. You stop with the personal insults to anyone,
and I'll do the same. And that has no time restsrictions on it, and it's
not just to this thread.

Deal, or no deal?

It's Thanksgiving Day, John Herring. Try to behave decently to the other
posters in here, if just for the day. One day at a time.

Do you mean personal insults like this:
Must be hell on earth in his household...he can't want to leave as
often
as he can and for as long as he can, preferably without Mrs. Herring.

Or this:
But Aperture only runs on Macs so far as I know...and since you can
barely turn on a PC...well...

Or this:
OR because he was being shoved down the stairs at the time.

In short, you should be the LAST person on earth to say something to
someone about not handing out personal insults.

We can all be hopeful that our new leader has the initiative and the
balls to do what is right. I don't really think he's paying much
attention to you just yet. He has been dropping hints that he wants a
Blackberry for Christmas. He said that would give him the opportunity to
listen to America. Imagine! Harry and Barry texting each other.
A Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday season, sans Christmas, to
you.

With the pervasive use of electronic communications, you have to wonder if they can't come up with a workaround.
