Interesting. *I was considering Skype to cut down on my Comcast bill. One guy has the phone connected to his router, so you don't need the PC on. *Expensive phone though. Never heard the sound quality was that bad. I don't know if it's Skype or not, but my son has his phone routed though his computer and pays super cheap billing for all local, long and foriegn calls , the problem that I've found is that when he calls me, the clarity is fine, but I ahve to constantly remind him to speak directly into the phone mouthpiece because the signal volume is really low. I'm sort of hard of hearing (too much heavy metal when i was younger) and I have my phones cranked up as high as I can, and I still have a problem hearing him, that is when he's on his computer set up. But on his cell phone, he's loud and clear. |
