It's the morning after an evening of partying and imbibing. He's now
starting to realize all the stupid things he said the night before.

Seriously, Obama, like McCain, was handed an 11th hour campaign surprise,
starting on or about Sept. 15th.
It probably cost McCain the election and is now causing Obama, along with
his advisors to have to rethink the whole plan and promises he made.
