Russ Amiro ================== email: sales[at]ruggedtech.com web: www.ruggedtech.com I put: 12VDC LCD monitor into Google and got 419,000+ hits. Take your pick...geez. I kinda like this one for mobile with the TOUCHSCREEN for $400! http://store.karpc.com/ At the bottom of this page is a nice 15" 12V "marine" TV that's also a monitor. Lionheart has a cheap, no-name 15" LCD TV that has a VGA cable input from the laptop and HDMI digital input from the DVD player for movies. It think it was around $299, but don't remember the name on it. I simply discarded the 12V 1A AC wall brick and connected a molded-plug 12V power cord to the 12VDC battery bus the lights on the nav table run off of. We have it mounted on a swing-arm so we can swing it one way to watch TV/movies in the settee and swing it around the corner to the nav station to plug the laptop into so the helmsman can look at The Cap'n on the big screen through the hatch from his seat. I sure like the idea of a touchscreen mouse on the monitor.....and so cheap! Larry -- While in Mexico, I didn't have to press 1 for Spanish. While in Iran, I didn't have to press 1 for Farsi, either. It just isn't fair. |

I have done the Google search and you will find that pretty well all the hits are for small LCD panels, oem kits, LCD power supplies, etc and largely resellers of this type of gear. Actually if you search more appropriately on the phrase "12VDC LCD monitor" you will get only 4 hits. All that aside, I perhaps should have been more clear in my original post. I am looking for a manufacturer or distributor of 12V desktop models of LCD's. We are a reseller - we buy from manufacturers or distributors, not other resellers. Cheers... |

![]() Sharp's Aquos line of televisions work on 12v. We've got a 15" unit in our boat, came equipped with it from the factory running off 12vdc. I seem to recall GE also making some units but the picture quality on them wasn't as good as the Sharp. Would anyone know of a manufacturer (preferably in Canada) of 12 volt LCD's.
