Default raymarine RC5201

All the info tells me I have a Raymarine RC5201 chartplotter on a boat
I have to bring back from West Indies, but there is no software with
it.
Is this a colour or monochrome plotter?
Is it worth getting software for it or should I convince the owner to
update (this will be hard as it is a matched pair with the SL72 radar
