Default Simrad radar compatibility

Hi,
I have bought a yacht 10 years old equipped with an Anritsu/Simrad
radar dome, RB 714A Scanner Unit.
I want to complete it with a radar display.
The displays from Simrad seems to be very costly, so I wonder whether
it will go with a cheap B/W model from another manufacturer, e.g.
Furono or like.
Does anybody know how to deal with that?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Knud,

The RB714A scanner is a current model from Simrad, so any of their displays,
or displays from Anritsu/Koden would suit. Other manufacturers would not
work.

you may need a simple mod to be installed on the dome to make it work with
some display models correctly.

Just make sure the display is for the 2kw dome and not more powerful.
