A friend and I are hoping to attempt to set up his SAT Nav phone on his boat by our own selves. He wants it connected to his PC so he can send photo's back home as he cruises. (Yes, he's aware of the cost which is not much a concern to him.) ? Is there anything special that needs our attention as we proceed? Power and data wires seem pretty straightforward but I concerned about what we don't know. Thanks in advance! Bob A few details would be helpful, for instance, do you have a USB or serial port on your PC? What type of Sat phone? What op system on the PC? If windows, what version? Have you checked with the phone maker? Some sell phones and kits to connect sat phones to pc's. For some really neat technical stuff, check out http://www.gpsphones.com |
