I had a Garmin 12 handheld GPS and have recently bought a Navman 5600
Chartplotter. When I put my Garmin co-ordinates (eg. S32-03-494, E115-32-050)into the Navman, I am not finding the reef on my sounder, and therefore no fish! I have tried 4 of my usual spots and each time I am not finding reef. My Navman manual says latitude and longitude are degrees, minutes and minutes to 3 decimal places. I do not have the manual to my Garmin 12, but someone told me that the last 3 digits on Garmins are not minutes to 3 decimal places, they are seconds or something different ??? Can someone please help me convert my Garmin co-ordinates so they work in my Navman GPS ? |
