wrote: Hi all Just bought a Garmin 180 gps sounder map and a Garmin 240 blue fishfinder. 1 Can I connect both the sets so they can be used together and how?. 2 Is there freeware out there that I can use to download the information from the sets so as I can store and edit or save the waypoints/routes ect. on my home pc?.And how would a complete beginner do this. There are several programs that will talk to Garmin receivers listed on my GPS/NMEA site shown below. You will not be able to connect both units to the same depth transducer, but you may be able to use a switch to select one at a time to the transducer. -- Peter Bennett, VE7CEI new newsgroup users info : http://vancouver-webpages.com/nnq GPS and NMEA info: http://vancouver-webpages.com/peter Vancouver Power Squadron: http://vancouver.powersquadron.ca |
