Which "smart" regulator?

I have a Balmar MaxCharge regulator. It is easy to program and does what it
is supposed to do. If your alternator is in a tight engine box and prone to
overheating like mine is, get the optional alternator temperature probe. It
will reduce charging current when the alternator gets too hot.
