Default Cable for GPS Antenna

Finally was able to get an ACR AIS B delive3red! Good-lookinig unit,
but the installation kit isn't much.15' cables! What boat b ig enough
to want AIS can use 15' cables?

No problem with the VHF antenna, but whaqt kind of cable would the GPS
antenna want? It has a BNC connector and looks like RG-58U, which
would be nice because I have somne of that hanging around. But it
could be RG-59. Any light?

Thanks,
Michael

Default Cable for GPS Antenna

Hi mike

Just bougth a Comar CBS 200 - merely same problem

GPS must be connected via TNC
VHF must be connected via BNC
Both being 50 ohms connectors

And yes, it's normally the opposite!!!

GPS must be exclusive for the AIS transponder, due to clock
syncronization!!!
NMEA in, is on class B, only compass heading (generally).

Sincerelly
