"Susceptible" indeed. What boat that can sail 90 miles isn't?

A lawyer could probably tell us whether "take full possesion and
control" means the same as confiscating and terminating ownership
rights.

So if I as a Canadian wish to sail to Cuba, which is really no foreign
country's concern, I guess I'm going via the Azores, because I'll be
damned if I'll enter the waters of the Fatherland if it can steal my
boat because I might visit a country some bagmen in Miami don't like.

Keep your laws off my boat, Bush. No wonder a lot of American sailors
argue the merits of sailing armed...it's to dissuade the Feds.

So what has Cuba done to protet this action?

Well, we just found out. Castro has closed all stores that sell any
imported items claiming a need to conserve foreign exchange funds.
Obviously a political ploy because the new rules do little to actually
reduce the flow of money form Florida but it does give him one more
hardship forced on the Cuban people by the Bush administration.

If you look back at history for the past 50 years, Coca Cola, Levis and
rock and roll have been more effective at bringing down dictators than
any embargo.

Are you referring to _our_ dictators, or those other guys?

The entire thing can be found via a web search for "Proclamation 7757 of
February 26, 2004"; it's available in a few corners of the web at this point.

It should also be available starting on page 9515 of this year's US
Federal Register (via http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/), but that's down as
I write this so I can't provide a URL.

It's interesting reading, both in the justifications and the edicts.

FR Doc 04-4634 This is frightening. If I had any doubts about getting rid of
Bush before, this cleared them up. It is ridicules for him to be doing this to
Cuba just to get the $ support from the Cuban exiles in Florida.

Same would apply to JFK, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1,
& Willy the Sleeze as well.

Agreed, but we already got rid of those guys, Rich. In about 6 months we'll
finish the job, and then it's smooth sailing to La Habana.

Has Kerry stated his position vis-a-vis travel to Cuba? If so, I
haven't heard it. Has anyone else?

I agree !!!!

But then we'll have to put up with rampant socialism, income taxes that
match the EU (70+%), .... maybe Ill even throw my medals across the
fence on the white house lawn.

Bush2 may be an idiot but the other is just a waffle.

Well, actually not quite. Carter did a major relaxation on the travel
ban, Reagan and George 1st sort of ignored it and Willie got scared of
the Miami Cubans and reinsitiuted most of it when that Cessna was shot down.
