What sort of oil? Is it ordinary engine oil?

You should use whatever the OEM recommends/uses. As you may be aware, the
oil viscosity is very important to the proper operation of the governor. I
should expect that a call to a Isuzu service dept should provide that
information..

Like power steering fluid, different types should not be mixed.
