Speaking of outboards - any comments on the Nissan/Tohatsu 3.5 hp 2 stroke?

I had a 5 hp Nissan 2 stroke which was built by Tohatsu. Best outboard I
ever owned. Not a single problem, always started on first pull, or
second after being winterized over a few months. When I upgraded, they
didn't make a 2 stroke at 25hp, so I had to get a Yamaha. Second choice,
but it works well too, but not as good as the Nissan/Tohatsu.
Believe it or not my local dealer just told me that Nissan/Tohatsu are
bringing back a limited quantity of the 2-stroke 25hp's. Supposedly
getting a shipment of them here in the US within the next week or two. He
said something about them bringing it back for just a short time in limited
quantities (something to do with their "points" with the EPA due to the
number of clean DI and 4-stroke motors they've sold/produced...??) Anyway,
if you're interested in one of the best damn 25hp 2-strokes ever built you
might want to check to see if your dealer can get his hands on one of those
coming in. Awesome motor!
