Default sospenders co2 cartridge as carry on


Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems carrying
a Sospender PFD which has a co2 cartridge as Carry ON or
Checked Baggage on the plane???

i had my extra cartridge taken, but they didn't look for
one inside the pfd.

Yes, but of course they have control over the inspection so
they feel better about theirs than they do about yours.

cartridges?


Yes, but of course they have control over the inspection so
they feel better about theirs than they do about yours.

This answer starts with a caveat. I am a Canadian.

I checked with my airline. They gave me permission to carry a PDF and
extra cartridge. I pack both in checked luggage.

From the WestJet web site
(http://www.channelgroup.org/wjpassen...-inflating.htm) :

"Self-inflating life jackets with two small CO2 cylinders are
permitted".

-Approval of a WestJet agent is required.

Check with your airline. Check the web site first.
