We have it aboard - diving the boat to remove the mooring ball (oops!)
I managed to get around the shaft revealed not the first growth of any
sort,despite long periods of inactivity.

Expensive, but I'll do it again when I have to (and it's out of the
water, of course!).

Skip, on a mooring (freed without incident) off Miami Yacht Club,
finishing last minute medical stuff before the insurance expires...

AWESOME.... just finishing my second year.
1st year my wife and I did it... 100% by the book. lasted an entire
year (12 month season hear in FL)
We have a lot of fouling her and although they did get barnacles, they
would either spin off when used OR I would use a scotch guard pad (Red
or black) and it came right off. Very easy.

2nd year I hired a pro... YUK.. came off in 2 weeks. They redid it for
free and it lasted about 6 mos. Some of it is still around but not
much.
I had a prop problem and redid the wheels while the boat was still in
the water so I did the wheels when i had them off and they have lasted
about 5 mos so far.

READ the directions especially the timing... get a buddy... not easy to
make the timing by yourself. DON'T USE ANY METAL to clean it, stay away
from SAND. If you hire it done... take the time to go over the process
and monitor them.
