Default Opening the RR Bridge at Second Narrows

Also, it they're opening the bridge for someone else, I can probably sneak
thought before or after - save them closing and opening it.

Sneak no...You should still make the call and request that he *hold the lift
for you* It is possible that he is working a train at the same time.

The common call on ch 12 is *second narrows bridge* followed by your
boatname. On reply state your direction of travel (east or west westbound)
position and eta to bridge and request a lift. Know your total height above
the water as he may ask for it.

Perhaps the worst plight of a vessel is to be caught in a gale on a lee
shore.
In this connection the following rules should be observed.

1. Never allow your vessel to be found in such a predicament.
