Easy to say unless you've got a 160 lb 8D batt installed under a shelf
and behind 4 other batteries. It's lucky to get checked once a year.

In which case fit an auto watering system. I've got 1500lb of cells
to check under the floor!!

OMG! I believe I could run my *house* for a few days with that much
battery! I can't imagine how many things we could add to the boat to
consume that sort of power.

I'd ask if you were in a sub, except that I seem to recall that they
have even more battery backup.

Adding to all this that there's really no excuse to fail to check the batts.

That's just an excuse. Sounds like a bad location, and in any case, is it not worth the hassle compared to lifting them out to replace them instead?

It is a bad location for sure but that's the way the boat was built
and there aren't any obvious alternatives other than some sort of
remote filling system.

Replacement T-105s.

Still may not be easy to check and fill, but at least you could move
them.

Last 8D battery I bought from the bulldozer dealer. It weighed about
that and half of it was the acid..It had carrying handles. It was good
for 220AH and cost the same per AH as the average car battery.

and behind 4 other batteries. It's lucky to get checked once a

year.

What's that old saw about "Poor plannimg on your part is not my
problem"?
