I did learn that for over $180 per night I can keep
my boat at the Farley State Marina in AC -- fat friggin chance. Is this the marina with a Trump casino on location? Is it a worthwhile destination for a few couples on a weekend (I live in NY). $180 per night for what size boat? John Buscema |

Last I heard they were charging $4 a foot.
Harrah's on the other side of the bridge had a very nice and reasonably priced marina adjacent to the casino but they closed it. AC is no longer a decent stop, just too costly. I've never been to Atlantic City, aside from the cost, is it worth visiting (by boat)? Is it a nice place? Nantucket Boat Basin if I remember is $5.00 per foot. So expensive, but is an awesome place to visit. John Buscema |

It was a good place to stop between Cape May and New York, You can take the intracoastal to Manesquam Inlet from AC Huh? but yu can't go south to Cape May because of a fixed bridge. Lots of casions with headliner shows. yeah, sure, in a shallow water boat with limited vertical clearance. |

You can anchor out or take a mooring and use the launches to get around. That option does not really exist at Atlantic City. The hell of it is that the marina at the Trump casino is state-owned and should be inexpensive. Trump just operates it. There's a great place to anchor right next to AC. As you're going down the inlet, before you get to the bridge, the main harbor will be to your left. But look to your right for a marked cut in the beach. Take that cut and follow the channel along the left side of the little bay you're in, past all the houses that'll be on your left, and go back to a second area opening up to a nice basin for anchoring. You'll be in Brigantine only a short cab or bike ride from AC. There's a landing area for a dink right across the street from a shopping center. Steve |
