Having a boat is about making your own choices.
But you might be better off to listen to the people who say that gas is the way to go with cooking and water heating. Some folks would hold out for a gas fridge too, I expect. Using electricity is OK for heating if somebody else has the chore of generating the juice. You don't have that luxury.
