Default Death of David Jones

I sent e-mail to some friends who live on Tortola asking what had happened
and here's their response:

"Yes, unfortunately it is true, David pasted away the first part of Nov.( I
believe on the 7th of Nov.).... his liver was failing and he died of
complication of that ...

I'm not sure who is taking his place on the SSB...the local radio has hired
another weather man......."

Quite sad. I used to subscribe because I thought that it was a good
service that he provided. I used to listen to him daily. I rarely called
in as I could almost always deduce the forecast for my area from his
general forecast or other's calls. On those occasions where I was confused
about what was going on and I was in an area that wasn't covered by his
normal forecast and I called in, he provided good insight into what was
going on. I'm sure that he's going to be greatly missed.

Anyone know the cause of death of David Jones, "the Caribbean
weatherman"? Will his service continue? I checked his web site and
there is no information regarding either point

And for a week or two after he died, it rained and Rained and RAINED! A
hundred-year rain storm that washed out roads, flooded many houses and
collapsed a roof or two. Sure seemed to be a connection; and perhaps a
fitting send-off
