Ha!!
Well that is interesting. When I have been to the USA no one had ever heard of Rump steak. One butcher I talked to knew what it was and said that they didn't have that cut of meat in the USA because they cut the beef up differently. You end up with a rump roast. I don't know that your rump would be better than ours as we are very famous for our beef, but I will admit your BBQ ribs are excellent. (Unfortunately we can not get them over here for the same reason explained above.) By the way, it's not Awstralia. That's the way the pommies pronounce it. It's Australia, or Ozzie to us locals!! Dick Behan It's a long shot for you guys, but the same applies here in beautiful, sunny, Queensland, Australia. If any of you guys find yourselves in our neck of the woods you are always welcome to join us on our boat for a sail. Depending on the weather conditions, we usually either go along the coast, across to Fraser Island, the worlds biggest sand island, or visit Lady Musgrave Island on the Great Barrier Reef. We will also welcome you to one of our traditional Aussie BBQ's. No shrimp, just good ol Rump Steak!! I know you guys in the USA don't get rump steak, but we do in Australia and it is the best BBQ steak going!! -- Garry Beattie Ocean Spirit Trailer Sailer & Small Yacht Cruising Emagazine www.ocean-spirit.com |

You might want to try calling some of the local marinas. Occasionally,
there's a charter going, and they could take a couple of extra people. I'll be down that way the following week, but I'm not sailing, just doing the relatives thing. "Geoff Jennings" wrote in message et... I have a favor to ask. My fiancée loves to sail, she doesn't have a ton of experience, but she really enjoys it. I have been sailing since I was a young kid, and have quite a bit of experience. We're both nice, friendly people. I wanted to take her sailing this weekend, Dec 13 or 14th, as part of her birthday celebration. Unfortunately, I'm unemployed right now (Interview Tuesday!), and, after checking prices on charters, I simply can't afford it. So, here's the question, is anyone sailing out of Dana Point, Newport, or Long Beach that would like an extra set of hands on board this weekend. We're good company, and I can promise a really, really good lunch and some nice beer for anyone who wouldn't mind us tagging along. Again, also I'm a pretty experienced sailor, so I can definitely be put to work. If it were Sat, we'd need to be aback by 4 or so, so a morning sail would work best. Sunday we've got all day. Any man who is unemployed and cannot even afford a
sailing excursion for his fiancée will likely make one sorry husband. Do your fiancée a favor and get a job. Stop mooching and stop being so irresponsible. You sound like a loser to me. Geoff,
You should go down to the local Yacht Clubs and look into crewing on someone else's boat for races. There are always a few boats that need additional crew for racing. It might be tough at first but once you get in with the right group and boat it could really work out well- and they sail every week. I did that for a while before I bought my boat to learn the ropes- so to speak. Where in So. Cal do you live? Good Luck! Rob "Geoff Jennings" wrote in message . net... I have a favor to ask.
