Default Anyone know where to get good heavy weather instruction and experience?

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I am probably too old (62) and

Well, if you're fit enough, join a delivery crew and offer to pay your
way. You are much more likely to convince a delivery skipper to take
you if you have special skills such as navigation, engines,
watch-standing or cooking. 62 can be tennis-playing age, or half-dead.
A good skipper will know. If you bring skills to the table, he/she may
pay you...as well as teach.
