I'm not aware of any classes that do that - they'd probably have
some trouble getting liability insurance.
I would suggest hooking up with someone doing some offshore racing.
You'll get experience and when the going gets tough, you'll have
a big group of people to deal with the problems. The key is
hooking up with an experienced crew.

Does anyone know where to find good solid instruction with hands on
experience in sailing in heavy weather? I would like to find an
experiential course where I will get instruction and actual experience
in dealing with storms and weather that is worse than I am likely to
encounter on my own.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Wayne
