Found an interesting site from JPL that shows the current (within 12
hours)sea wind analysis with wind arrows and color coded velocities. Go to http://haifung.jpl.nasa.gov/ and click on the QuickSCAT links. Also there are 18 month animations of the winds. The one for the Atlantic clearly illustrate why it is much easier to get Easting out of BOW-fort than BEW-ferd. :-) -- Glenn Ashmore I'm building a 45' cutter in strip/composite.
