NASA sea wind analysis
 

Found an interesting site from JPL that shows the current (within 12
hours)sea wind analysis with wind arrows and color coded velocities.
Go to http://haifung.jpl.nasa.gov/ and click on the QuickSCAT links.

Also there are 18 month animations of the winds. The one for the
Atlantic clearly illustrate why it is much easier to get Easting out of
BOW-fort than BEW-ferd. :-)

Thanks, but it says:

At the moment we are receiving no SeaWinds data. When we do start receiving it, and there are any tropical storms to work with, you will start seeing tropical storm overlays.

In short, watch this space.

I musta had the wrong map. I clicked on SeaWinds

The Sea winds maps don't seem to be working right now. Try the Atlantic
QuickScat link in the first group.

I found 'em. I think they should make them smaller and more intense.
You can still see the arrowheads if you blow 'em up past full
screen....(c;
