Not too bad, I suppose. I only got 26. I missed the president born in TX (which I don't think is on the real exam). I missed the term length for Reps, number of Presidents assassinated in office (not enough of them, in my opinion), and the number of Presidents who had been impeached. I'll challenge the impeachment question -- Articles of impeachment were brought, but neither Nixon or Clinton was convicted |

First, you have the wrong cast of characters. You need to figure out who besides Clinton was impeached. Second, when Articles of Impeachment are voted, the President has been impeached. Ok Johnson (not LBJ) AND according to your definition Nixon WAS impeached http://library.thinkquest.org/25185/gallery.htm |

The process of impeachment, that is a vote in Congress to "impeach" and a
trial in the Senate only took place once in our history. Bill Clinton. The only president to "be impeached". Nixon resigned before this process ever took place. == Next to Bill Clinton's name in history will be .. "first president to be impeached" .. and the second paragraph will say "because he was a horny ******* who left his spunk on Monica's dress"... ============= I'll challenge the impeachment question -- Articles of impeachment were brought, but neither Nixon or Clinton was convicted |

Other than trying to stir up a political
discussion about the merits or demerits of a particular country... How does this relate to cruising in boats?? Seems to me we are better off without the political discussions as everyone pretty much has their mind made up on that subject and aren't interested in discussion. Don W. I passed with 26 and I live in Canada and was born and educated in the UK but I'm by no means a patriotic Yank. Hi Ceri, I've lived in the US for 49 years now, and my wife is a dual US/UK citizen. We are in London today, an have been touring the UK for the past week. The whole world just finds it funny how you guys down there just go on and on about how grand your not so grand nation is. One century you guys will step out of the bubble and look in on yourselves for the first time and see what you guys really are as a whole, or is it a hole? Regarding your comment about our "not so grand nation", I suggest that you concentrate on improving your own nation and let us work on improving ours. Both the UK and Canada have plenty of problems you could attempt to improve if you chose to expend your energy that way. During our tour here in the UK, my wife and I have been talking about how the UK now feels more like a third world nation than the first world. We love the people here, but they are being royally screwed by their system. We will be happy to go home to the states. The cost of living here is more than double what it is in the US, and the wages are about 1/2. That is why we have so many displaced Scots an Brits living and working in my hometown of Austin TX. My next door neighbor is one, and my wife works with four or five. We also have loads of Indians, Pakistanis, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Eastern European, etc... I have an aunt and uncle who are Canadian citizens. They have plenty of criticisms about Canada and its politics to talk about. Believe me, we in the US are aware of our problems, and there is plenty of internal debate regarding almost any issue you want to bring up. It is easier to recognize a problem than to solve it. But if you really feel that Canada is the best place to be, I'll be happy to try to redirect the millions of immigrants (legal and otherwise) that are coming to the US each year to your doorstep. Regards, Don W. |

You apparently need to work on your reading skills. I've no idea where you got the thought that I or my boat are in Canada. (I'm currently in London, and my boat is in the US) BTW, had a wonderful visit at Dover Castle yesterday and the weather cooperated by providing blue skies and sun. The view of Dover harbor, the white chalk cliffs and the breakwater was fantastic. There is a marina there that seemed to have a lot of cruising boats. I'd like to see the castle from the sea someday. Don W. |
