Guy buys a 25 foot gas cruiser. Takes it over to the fuel dock to top
off. Afterwards, the engine won't start.
No problem. Just pull off the flame arrestor and dump some gas in the
carb. So what if a little gas dribbles down the block near his open
container of gas.
Yup. Engine backfires through the carb and sets everything on fire!
But no problem. He grabs the nearby fire extinguisher and with help
from the attendant, they put it out with little damage.
Off he goes.
Next week on the other side of the marina, the engine won't start.
No problem. Remove the flame arrestor, dump some gas in, and of
course spill gas everywhere.
Yup. Backfire through the carb and start a fire. No problem. Grab the
handy fire extinguisher and oops! It's empty. Forgot to refill it!
Fire is spreading!
Jump off the boat, untie it and push it away from the dock so as to
not to burn up the whole marina. (Only smart thing he did.) Watch it
burn! It finally drifts close enough to the hiway so the firetrucks can
put it out
Total loss.
Insurance? Not!

Important points:

1. Its gas so it will catch fire on a warm day.

2. Brain damage can only strike so many times.

3. He's removed from the fleet by attrition.

So the final outcome is favorable after all.
