Started the bottom sanding. Put down the tarp, get the vac going, .. mr
environment here. The paint that is on the hull is ablative, blue in color. In overall very good shape. There are a few areas where the paint has been chipped off, or fallen off ,, whatever. I have sanded, and now I can see the original gel. This is in the few areas of flake paint, etc. Before applying new ablative, should I prime the few bare/gel spots? What primer? I am using Interlux ACT ablative. If you have any other tips on bottom painting; pass them on. I'm sure there are many readers getting ready for some bottom coating. |

You really only prine the bottom when it's new, I've never heard of primer being applied to an older boat. John |
