Dubai Marina
The vision of Dubai Marina is to create an awe-inspiring city-within-a
city that delights residents with its cosmopolitan, free-spirited atmosphere
and unique, invigorating lifestyle. It will be an urban centre on the water,
comparable to the most exclusive waterfront developments in the world's
leading cities. Ideally positioned along Dubai's new growth corridor, Dubai
Marina will be the place where people meet, laugh, live and enjoy life to
the full. Always alive, with the glittering Marina at its heart, Dubai
Marina will be unlike any other place, in Dubai, the Middle East and even
the world.

Take a look at Massachusetts .. The Democrats have been running the state
forever. It is the second most corrupt state in the union.
New Jersey has the number 1 spot and isn't giving it up.

Companies are moving out as fast as they can. Fidelity Investments is one.
And Fidelity has been a long time employer in Mass.

The Democrats are more corrupt than the Repubs. They not only steal but
ruin what is there, or left.

The new Democrat governor went out and got himself a Caddie. The man is
BLACK. The first BLACK governor and the first thing he does is get a

Then he hires a $72,000 per year secretary for his wife. State funds for
the job. His wife? She is a partner in a lawfirm. And now she has
admitted that she is NUTS! So, what is the $72,000 secretary going to do,
get her to the NUT HOUSE?

The two senators? Kennedy and Kerry. One a murderer and the other a lying
phony.

There are so many taxes, that the state of Mass even taxes the taxes. Ask
any boat owner.

And for what? The murder rate in Boston is going through the roof.

The state troopers earn over $200,000 per years to sit in cars at
construction sites.

Why do you think the terrorists picked Boston as the spot to get on planes
to fly into the World Trade Tower?

Because the incompetent police, security, etc at Logan airport was a joke.
It isn't how much you know to get a job
in Mass, it is how much you give to the right pol.

The whole state is a ruin, a corrupt joke. And the companies that have been
putting up with it are leaving.

So much for the Democrats.

I hope every large company in Mass leaves and the whole place goes into
depression. Bankrupt the place. Let em stave.

The day T Kennedy kicks I am having a huge party!

If this is only "one of the highest-profile moves," (sic) did any of the
others occur in the past six years, or have they all happened since
November?

Some proof!

We have seen an unprecedented movement of manufacturing and corporate
control out of the US in the past six years, despite unusually favorable
federal antitrust and environmental regulation and taxation policies
under the Republicans. I guess we are left to imagine what those
policies would have been if there were no Democrats at all.

The relevant economic question really is: in a world market, why should
US engineers and factory workers and property owners expect greater
compensation than their foreign competitors?

The world's resounding answer to that question has been a soaring US
trade deficit due to unprecedented levels of high-tech imports and a
commensurate diminution of US manufacturing.

Other than arms and debt instruments, our portfolio of price-competitive
exports has been dwindling rapidly. And of course, the petro-dollar
service plays an important role.

Does anyone believe this process came as a surprise to our leaders, who
seem to see fast food employment as the solution? What sort of future is
being built for the country based on trends that have been obvious for
more than a decade? Can anything be done? Should anything be done?

I suspect the train has left the station and the current government
emphasis is being placed on "outside-the-box" strategies, most of which
involve extra-territorial military "adventures", with the tacit approval
of both R's and D's. E.g., Iraq.

Which brings us full-circle back to Halliburton, dutifully responding to
the nation's tax policies, as well as to its longstanding military
adventurism!

Just curious, though, about whether their move might have the (fully
unintended, of course) consequence of removing records from US subpoena
powers.

You sound like a very perceptive and intelligent person capable of
seeing for yourself what's going on and not believing a bunch of
Democrat lies. It's refreshing to hear sound thinking from time to time.
Everything you wrote is fact and documented fact at that. Yet, you will
have people calling you names and saying you have mental problems. And
this from people who will not accept facts but would rather accept
Democrat lies because they are among the lazy good-for-nothings who vote
for anybody who promises to give them a free ride.

To see the future of Massachusetts read a book called, "Atlas Shrugged"
by Ayn Rand.

Yeah, but when someone needs to post a laundry list of all the things

He's just stating the facts. It is your assumption that he's consumed by

I guess you didn't read that report yourself. All it says is that the
most wealthy don't spend as much of their incomes on certain taxable
items, especially sales tax or excise tax items. And, the report is a
"standard form" that the web site offers for just about every state.
In fact, MA is actually quite fair, with an equal burden shared by 95%
of the state. And, the local tax on the poor is 20% lower than the
national average, one of the lowest in the country.

Compare this to your state. Florida is listed as the second most
regressive, with the local tax on the poor over 50% higher than
Massachusetts!

Its pretty clear you have neither the inclination nor ability to
actually determine the truth about even simple issues.

Captain Morgan ,, yes; I am mad. Mad as HELL! The F'n Democrats in Mass
have ruined the F'n state.

It is so bad that cruising sailors I know, who have cruised to Nantucket
each year for over 30 years, won't go anymore. The whole system in Mass is
"stick it to the little guy" and let the rich assholes such as John Kerry
[ who has a home and a huge motorboat on Nantucket which were paid for by
his obnoxious wife ] live the good life.

Just one example. When Rose Kennedy died [ she being the mother of JFK, and
Sen Teddy the Drunk ] the family listed her home address as Palm Beach,
Florida so they would not pay taxes. She hadn't stepped on the soil of
Florida for 20 years!

Did they get brought in to court and told to pay the taxes on the estate?
Oh nooooooo... they are the Kennedy's.

This is how the whole state is run. The ordinary folks get screwed day in
and day out while the rich assholes such as Teddy the Drunk and John Kerry
the Phoney .. live the good life with a set of rules that don't apply to
anyone but them.

As an American and a boater ... I am sick of it.

I'm sick of the rich liberals who live under one set of rules while sticking
it to the normal, working, sailors.

You bet I'm ****ed .. and I am staying ****ed as long as the system in Mass
stays corrupt.

I guess you didn't read that report yourself. All it says is that the
most wealthy don't spend as much of their incomes on certain taxable
items, especially sales tax or excise tax items. And, the report is a
"standard form" that the web site offers for just about every state. In
fact, MA is actually quite fair, with an equal burden shared by 95% of
the state.

Get a clue, man. Florida has NO income tax. Zero, zip, nada. Sales taxes
are in line with most other states and there is no sales tax on
groceries.

Perhaps you should read your own sources rather than make up "data."
Here's the sheet for FL:
http://www.itepnet.org/wp2000/fl%20pr.pdf

The poorest 20% are paying 14.4% of their income, mostly in sales tax. In
MA, the lowest group only spends 9.3%.

So, is there anybody forcing a body to own property and to insure it?
No! Well, I thought so. As long as owning property is a choice then you
choose to pay property taxes and you choose to insure it. If you borrow
to buy then you're also forced to insure the property. It's as simple as
that. Now, if people were forced to own property then had to pay
property taxes and insurance, that would be a different story
altogether. It seems to me if there's any such thing as a fair tax then
property tax sure fits the bill.

It seems correct to me the more property and the more expensive property
you own you should be taxed on it on a percentage basis. Same percentage
whether your property is worth fifty grand or fifty million grand. But
there is help for the lower income folks. There is a 25K homestead
exemption soon to go up to 50K on which the property owner pays not one
thin dime. This helps out the low income people and sticks it to the
rich. Boy are the rich ****s ever complaining and lobbying AGAINST the
doubling of the homestead exemption. Seems like they don't mind

decision so that they could take over and develp somebody else's
private property?

Five liberal justices voted in favor of the right to take the property.
Four justices voted against. The five voting for were appointed by
Democrat Presidents. The four voting against by Republican presidents.

It was the developers who sued to take away the land. I don't know their
political affiliation.

The ability to own the land one lives upon is one of the most basic
and vital sources of, and expressions of, liberty. And you act as if
it's nothing more than a privilege? Hardly seems consistent with
your usual politics.

Where have you been? Don't you remember the recent Supreme Court
decision that states it is legal for government to condemn private
property for no other reason than so it can be sold to a developer in
order to increase the tax base? A total abuse of the eminent domain
principle.

So much for the ability to own land. Not only that, but try not
paying taxes on the land you "own" and see how long it takes before
they take it away from you.

Keep electing those Democrats. They appoint liberal judges who
legislate from the bench and take away right after right. Keep
blaming everybody but yourself for enabling these rapists. After all
it wasn't your vote that put them there. Yah right!

A: The Supreme Court was wrong.
B: I am entirely aware of the lack of Allodial Title, and intimately
aware that one does not have freehold to land "owned" in the United
States -- neither did I say that it is right. To the contrary, it
supports my original statement.
C: I have never voted for a Democrat, nor for a Republican.

You should vote for the most conservative candidate (who has a chance of
winning) available in any election. Party affiliation should not be the
deciding factor. The main difference between conservative candidates and
liberal candidates is no Democrat candidate is conservative. Some
conservative candidates are not necessary Republicans. The Libertarian
Party candidates are generally more conservative than Republican
candidates. However, to date at least, you have thrown your vote right
down the toilet voting for a candidate who has no chance of winning. By
wasting your vote you have, in effect, given liberals one more vote for
their socialist agenda.

And by voting Republican you give weight to The Shrub and his illegal and
immoral war, and his "Sherman's March" through the Constitution.

A pox upon all their houses.

Five Supreme Court justices appointed by Democrats???? Its been a
while since we've had that!

John Roberts G.W. Bush September 29, 2005
John Paul Stevens Ford December 19, 1975
Antonin Scalia Reagan September 26, 1986
Anthony Kennedy Reagan February 18, 1988
David Souter G.H.W. Bush October 9, 1990
Clarence Thomas G.H.W. Bush October 23, 1991
Ruth Bader Ginsburg Clinton August 10, 1993
Stephen Breyer Clinton August 3, 1994
Samuel Alito G.W. Bush January 31, 2006

Also, Alito replaced Sandra Day O'Conner, who was nominated by Reagan;
Roberts replaced William Rehnquist, who was nominated by Nixon

So its been a long long time since the Supreme Court was controlled by
Democratic nominees.

You just flunked basic American History. Your citizenship has been

You don't even have the right group, bonehead! Here's how it went down.

Stevens was joined in the majority by Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, David
H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer. If they weren't
liberals to begin with they are recognized as liberals now.

O'Connor was joined in her dissent by Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist
and Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. They wrote that the
majority had tilted in favor of those with "disproportionate influence
and power in the political process, including large corporations and
development firms."

Just like a Republican. When you're caught in a lie, you just deny
what you said! You were very explicit in claiming that the five
justices in favor were all "appointed by Democrat Presidents." In
fact, as I showed, only two were.
