Not for nothing, but I believe that MOST politicians, from MOST states, send
their kids to private schools. Public schools are for the plebs.

Why is it that all the rich pols in your great state send their kids to

You know of any Kennedys who attend public school? Did John Kerry go to

Nope ... private school.

And as for the crime rate .... are you kidding. There is a murder a day

And, because of that, we have a local tax burden lower than the national
average. We have one of the best school systems in the country, with the
highest ratings on all four of the the standardized tests (reading and
math, 4th and 8th grades) of any of the states. Crime rates are well
below the national average, with one of the lowest murder rates in the

major health care systems are rated amongst the best in the country.

Jeff ,,, really man ... you are making a complete fool of yourself.

The poor in Mass can't afford a home. Why? Because the state won't let any
homes get built.

You throw in the income tax, sales tax, excise tax, real estate tax, the
"Big Dig" corruption,,,,

You are out of your F'n mind.

Mass sucks! It is corrupt. Why do you think Fidelity is leaving? The
employees I have spoken to can't get out of Mass

You should consider therapy.

I guess you haven't read this:
http://www.itepnet.org/wp2000/ma%20pr.pdf

Like I said, a rich ruling class and a poor working class groveling at
their feet. Socialism is alive and well in Taxachussetts.

Wilbur Hubbard

I guess you didn't read that report yourself. All it says is that the
most wealthy don't spend as much of their incomes on certain taxable
items, especially sales tax or excise tax items. And, the report is a
"standard form" that the web site offers for just about every state. In
fact, MA is actually quite fair, with an equal burden shared by 95% of
the state. And, the local tax on the poor is 20% lower than the
national average, one of the lowest in the country.

Compare this to your state. Florida is listed as the second most
regressive, with the local tax on the poor over 50% higher than
Massachusetts!

Its pretty clear you have neither the inclination nor ability to
actually determine the truth about even simple issues.

Get a clue, man. Florida has NO income tax. Zero, zip, nada. Sales taxes
are in line with most other states and there is no sales tax on
groceries.

Perhaps you should read your own sources rather than make up "data."
Here's the sheet for FL:
http://www.itepnet.org/wp2000/fl%20pr.pdf

The poorest 20% are paying 14.4% of their income, mostly in sales tax. In
MA, the lowest group only spends 9.3%.

No wonder the Cape Cod Orca stays constantly drunk. If he's drinking to
Jeff's stupidity there's plenty enough to keep even Old Kennedy
plastered. Jeff is your typical brainwashed liberal. He feels good when
he pays taxes. Liberals have been taught they've got to pay taxes until
it hurts so the likes of Kennedy and Kerry can live the good life.

But boy do they stick it to you with property taxes in insurance!

So, is there anybody forcing a body to own property and to insure it?
No! Well, I thought so. As long as owning property is a choice then you
choose to pay property taxes and you choose to insure it. If you borrow
to buy then you're also forced to insure the property. It's as simple as
that. Now, if people were forced to own property then had to pay
property taxes and insurance, that would be a different story
altogether. It seems to me if there's any such thing as a fair tax then
property tax sure fits the bill.

It seems correct to me the more property and the more expensive property
you own you should be taxed on it on a percentage basis. Same percentage
whether your property is worth fifty grand or fifty million grand. But
there is help for the lower income folks. There is a 25K homestead
exemption soon to go up to 50K on which the property owner pays not one
thin dime. This helps out the low income people and sticks it to the
rich. Boy are the rich ****s ever complaining and lobbying AGAINST the
doubling of the homestead exemption. Seems like they don't mind
sticking it to the poor but when they have to pay for their mansions
they balk.

Its true that the Boston murder rate has gone up dramatically in the
last couple of years. But its still only 73 in the last reported
year. The entire state had 175 for the full year, or 2.7 per 100,000.
There were 13 states with lower rates, most of them rural with low
populations. The national average is 5.6 per 100,000, more than twice
the MA rate.

The ability to own the land one lives upon is one of the most basic and
vital sources of, and expressions of, liberty. And you act as if it's
nothing more than a privilege? Hardly seems consistent with your usual
politics.

Jeff ,, let me take these one at a time...

Housing? No, people don't want to live in Mass. The population has
declined, in fact the state may lose at least one but maybe two Congressman
because of this.

The Big Dig a great system? Tell that to the lady who was killed when the
tunnel collapsed on her car.

The Ted Williams tunnel leaks! It is just a matter of time before the whole
tunnel goes ...

The former Governor Romney got out because he could not govern. The Dems
control the state.

The new Governor is a pathetic joke. He gets himself a Caddy, hires a
secretary for his wife at $72,000 per year, his wife goes nuts,

He writes letters of questionable legality ... and he has just started!

If you have any opportunity ..

GET OUT .. save yourself.

Mass is about to go down the tubes. As soon as the economy goes a little
south, Mass will be the big pits.

Even fat Teddy K can't save this sinking ship.

Glad to see that the crime problem is under control. Tell that to the
family of the young Black girl who was gunned down in front of an
elementary school the other day.

Or .. better yet ... Mary Joe Kopecney...

Is she still in Teddy's car under water?

The ******* left her to drown ,, she died stuck in a car in 6 feet of water.

The murdering drunk.. your Senator!

I hope you are proud.

Me? It makes me sick when I think of that girl struggling to free herself.
And where was Teddy? He was running for his life.

dies..
