Have 100 gal fuel tank that was just topped off. Fuel gauge sender appears to be leaking at the gasket. All screws are tight. Any help in repairing would be appreciated. I had a similar problem, temporarily fixed by smearing on an automotive silicone product rated for fuel. Took two applications. The first slowed things down enough to clean up the surface for a better bond. Of course you'll have to actually fix the problem once you've dropped the fuel level down a bit. Be careful placing and driving the bolts/screws as they are "keyed" (not evenly spaced) and can very easily be stripped. -- Jere Lull Xan-a-Deux ('73 Tanzer 28 #4 out of Tolchester, MD) Xan's Pages: http://members.dca.net/jerelull/X-Main.html Our BVI FAQs (290+ pics) http://homepage.mac.com/jerelull/BVI/ |
